RESTAURANT MENUBOARDS GO INTERACTIVE!
EMENUBOARD TAKES AWARD FOR BEST NEW PRODUCT OF THE YEAR IN TECHNOLOGY
NEW YORK, November 20, 2007 – On Sunday, November 11, eMenuBoard Systems received the honorable Editors’ Choice Award for Best New Product of the Year in the Technology category at the 92nd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show. The show, which took place at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and attracted 35,000 attendees, was the industry’s first chance to see and touch eMenuBoard’s interactive and innovative touch-screen menus.
With this Award, eMenuBoard positions itself in the marketplace as the must-have new product of the year that answers the industry need to provide more interactive information to consumers and raise hospitality standards.
Designed exclusively for restaurants, hotels, resorts and casinos, eMenuBoard’s touch-screen technology is a much-improved alternative to traditional exterior menus or information stands/boards.
“The eMenuBoard System turns the two-dimensional space of a traditional outdoor menu board into a multifaceted touch-screen platform whose possibilities are limitless.” said Mathieu Lanfant, co-founder of eMenuBoard Systems. “The restaurant’s entrance, once cluttered with a list of food items, critic’s reviews, events’ posters, special promotions and photographs of food, now offers potential customers a sleek, one-stop information source.”
The touch-screen menu’s digital capabilities provide restaurant and hotel operators with a more efficient and exciting way of promoting their establishments while also serving as a practical and user-friendly tool for consumers. Consumers are enticed with attractive high-resolution pictures of menu items, bar selections, interior décor, special events, and more, that will also help owners up-sell their offerings and increase their sales.
“While waiting for a table, people can browse through the menu and choose what they will eat even before they are seated,” comments Serguei Mamedrzaev, co-founder of eMenuBoard Systems. “This will reduce customers’ decision-making time at the table that translates into turning tables faster and improving the service”.
Another extremely advantageous feature of using touch-screen technology is the ability to offer all menus and other information in different languages to extend hospitality services to tourists and foreign clientele, which is a daily challenge for international hotel restaurants. eMenuBoard will also be a source for answers to frequently asked questions including hours of operation, directions, delivery, critic’s reviews, attire, special deals, amenities and more.
“A picture is worth a thousand words.” said Mamedrzaev. “It’s a well-known fact that visual representation is the most important sales factor and that is what eMenuBoard concept is built on. It helps attract and engage consumers, turning them into users and users into customers.”
